We’re opening the 1st of October. Days open will be Thursday, Friday , and Saturday from 12-9 PM. I try to open more towards the end of the month. I will post on my web page if I do. www.costumecrazebarn.com I quadrupled my inventory this year-many selections and lots of plus size selections. I run the business alone, in our pole barn, to cut overhead. Since I can’t order thousands of costumes like the fly by night shops, some costumes I can’t cut as much as I’d like but they’re still cheaper than Spirit. Many are cheaper than Wal-Mart and Meijers and much better quality. I try to make a costume all inclusive so you don’t have to buy a costume then multiple accessories to go with it. I have many one of a kind costumes. My husband and I will be cleaning and setting up this month. All costumes are stored during the year. I won’t have the phone in the barn to answer questions, I won’t get anything done if I do. We have a beautiful selection from baby to plus size, even some dog costumes! Lots of accessories, if you are building your own costume, plus wigs, more hats than anywhere! Face make up, nylons, crazy headbands, glasses, so much!

Costume Craze is open by appt. only, from Nov. 1st thru the end of Sept. I open the first Thursday in Oct. During the year I have a massive inventory of vintage and era clothing for sale. Open by appt for era vintage clothing and mascots. My Halloween costumes are stored and hard to get at. I have a few deluxe Easter bunnies for rent. These are the nice ones and rent for $60, use tax, and a deposit. I have some great mascots for birthday party rentals, like Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Pikachu, SuperMan (open face), Lion King Simba and Nayla, etc. These mascots rent for $50, use tax, and deposit. Please share, huge vintage HEATED BARN SALE and personal antique collection, this SAT and SUN 10-6 FEB 28 and MAR 1st. At 13086 Foxwood Pvt., Sparta. We’re a mile back on the right. Vintage collection is at least 5 times what was out in our Dec. sale Vintage German Dirndl dresses, ladies and girls added, men’s Bavarian, super deluxe 2 piece suits-dry cleaned,no one has anything like these-nice enough for weddings. Boys lederhosen suede or leather, to size 10. Toddler German, top of the line sweaters and some German toddler clothimg. Vintage hats, then tables full of fun new hats and top hats, also new sunglasses, all sorts of fun sunglasses. I had so many people, over the years, request that I have vintage sales so I’m having them, even college kids love this collection. Not garage sale prices but cheaper than other dealers. Some new kids clothes too. Adults Tweed blazers, fancy dresses, streetwear, mink stole, fur coats, broomstick skirts, vinyl pants, men’s 70s leisure suits, western shirts, old purses, newer designer purse and wallets.

Plus I’ve added my personal antique collection. One book from 1882. Comic books, old magazines, tons of old books, cook books, old toys, teddy bears, and dolls. Lots of old fishing lures, WW11 uniforms, WW11 military books, 50-75 year old costume jewelry, no 14 kt gold, old vinyl records, old sports books including Mickey Mantle, Tiger Feats, even movies from the 1920s! I’ve collected antiques for 60 years and have so many unusual ones!
ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS BUT THEN HAVE TO COLLECT SALES TAX ON MY PERSONAL ANTIQUE COLLECTION.
I can’t answer questions, I have 2 days, at least of pricing yet. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve sold to theater directors in the past, even actresses in Hollywood commercials, their scouter was here buying clothing for them. Costume Craze, in the pole bldg will be closed until next October. During the year, the costume barn becomes a pole bldg. Costumes are stored until next year.

I have 23 deluxe theater Wizard of Oz theater costumes- I WILL SELL ALTOGETHER-NOT SEPARATE PIECES. $1700 for the entire lot, this is a deal and the price is firm. Most were professionally made. Many are worth at least $100, some more.

I operate a vintage clothing store out of the lower level in our house. I have vintage Mardi Gras costumes from New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina, vintage (40 plus yrs old) Dirndl dresses from Austria and Germany, some girls dirndl dresses, vintage German toddler clothing, and boys to size 10 lederhosen-suede or leather, NO mens lederhosen but men’s gorgeous Bavarian 2 piece suits ($200) with either sterling silver buttons or Elkhorn buttons-all dry cleaned.

In the vintage room there’s lots of 70s and 80s, men’s 70s leisure suits with the 70s shirts-$200, some 40s, 50s, and 60s dresses, suits, pant suits, skirts, fancy dresses, and real fur coats, fur stoles, and fox fur shorter coats. Many Gunne Sax dresses and outfits. Gunne’s run between $175-$200. I listing some prices so people can decide if they want to come. Many deluxe ladies 2 piece suits or older dresses, fancy lace coats, over a beautiful dress, perfect for theater. Lots of vintage jewelry, hats, 80s nylons, vintage cowboy and cowgirl shirts, etc. so much. I can’t compete for school rentals -for $10 when dry cleaning alone is more than this. The average school rental is $35-$50 depending on the costume, some are $75. Everything is for sale on the vintage room. Everything is washed, dry cleaned, and repairs made, if needed.

My vintage store is top of the line and many people, in theater have told me it’s the best!

I have Mascot rentals for birthday parties. These are stored off site, old time characters “like” Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird with leather 3 toed hand made shoes. “Like” because these aren’t copywritten. Also a Dalmatian, Lion King characters-Scar sold. Pichachu, Barbie, plus others.

I have Mall quality Santa Claus’ and Ms. Santa. Pilgrims and Amish. I have a few extra rental quality Easter bunnies-I sold most when I thought I was retiring from the costume business. Our kids and grandkids are helping so I can stay in business.

Appointments during the year-Nov.-Sept. Most Halloween costumes are not accessible during the year-they are packed away in storage. My vintage room is always accessible, for buyers, with an appt. 616-986-8103 please leave a message on this line. Thanks Sally
