Thank you to everyone who came out to Market on the Ridge at Sparta's Michigan Apple Festival this weekend!

A huge thank-you to the Village of Sparta, DPW, Chamber, and Public Safety for all of their help throughout the weekend — and for becoming my radar-watching buddies along the way. 😂

Making the decision to close early was not an easy one. Based on the forecast and radar at the time Saturday morning, we felt it was the best decision for the safety of our vendors, staff, and everyone attending. While the anticipated rain thankfully didn’t materialize the way it was expected to, we had to make the best decision we could with the information we had at the time.

This weekend was also incredibly hard for me personally as a coordinator. I know how much our vendors invest in these events — their time, money, inventory, travel, setup, and so much more — and when the weather threatens that, I carry that with me. I spent days watching the forecast, worrying, and trying to make the best decisions I could for everyone involved. I care deeply about the people who choose to be part of my events, and I never take that responsibility lightly.

Most importantly, thank you to the Sparta community for continuing to show up and support our vendors despite the uncertainty with the weather. Your support means more than you know, and we truly appreciate every single person who came out and shopped local. Thank youBiggby Coffee of Sparta, MI for donating hot coffee and Tom's Hometown Bakery for the fresh bakery keeping our vendors fueled. And a special thank you to Michelle at Grand Rapids Candle Company for all the help you give me, especially Friday mornings marking pavement. Vendors and all of the Sparta community, from the bottom of my heart- thank you 💗

Did you accidentally leave a pair of earrings at one of our vendor booths today?

If you think they may be yours, please send us a message and describe the earrings so we can make sure they get back to the right person.

Once we confirm they’re yours, we’ll make arrangements to get them back to you!
