✨Long, Overdue Post Alert✨The time has come to officially announce the retirement and new beginning for my long time business partner and friend, Lorin Kotz. As many of you know, Lorin decided to leave the industry after 17 years in the Event Planning world to start a new career. While she was so successful as a Planner in an exclusive industry not known to many, Counseling was an easy calling for Lorin. An ear to lend to those who needed it, followed by the difficult task of giving advice, on so many different topics to which she could speak of. Tackling both planning events and going to school these past three years was not easy, but Lorin did it with a passion. To say this was a difficult decision is an understatement, but she left her legacy just as her Mom did, and I know for that, she is most proud.
We started working together in 2007, her infamous Mother, Lynn Kotz, leading the way, along with her sister, Megan. We witnessed firsthand her dedication, vision, and commitment to her Events. In 2014, we created our partnership with Celebrations. Her attention to detail, alongside her strong relationship with her clients, is one to be recognized. Her favorite part was the room reveal. Seeing the reactions of her clients entering their reception space, whether a Wedding or Mitzvah, made it all worth it.
While it’s bittersweet to see her leave the world of Events, I’m genuinely excited for her next adventure. There is no doubt that she will be just as successful in her next journey. I know our many fellow vendor friends feel the same.
Congratulations, Lorin, for the vast amount of success you have achieved in the many Events you have thrown in your career. Your Mom and Dad would be so proud! May your new path bring you as much fulfillment as your time with Celebrations did. I will miss you dancing by my side at a wedding during a fun song from the band. And so many inside jokes….I’ll leave it at this: “We’ve Got a Kiddush”!!!! I love you, my friend, and I promise to continue to take Celebrations on the same path your Mom, your Sister and you have always wanted. 🥳
