As Hurricane Isaias makes its way toward the Gulf Coast, we wanted to share a quick update with our couples, families, and guests.
Because we are located north of I-10, we are not currently expecting any mandatory evacuation orders for our area. However, we will always follow any mandates or guidance issued by the government, including any direction from Governor Ivey and local officials.
At this time, weddings will continue as scheduled unless government mandates or the couple decides that rescheduling is the best option. Our number one priority is making sure everyone stays safe.
The current forecast, with landfall expected Friday night into Saturday morning, makes us feel optimistic that a Saturday afternoon wedding should still be able to take place safely. Of course, as we all know with hurricane weather, forecasts can change quickly. We are watching the weather closely and, just like all of you, we’re prepared to make adjustments and pivot if needed.
One of the beautiful things about living and getting married in our little corner of the Gulf Coast is the natural beauty that surrounds us. But unfortunately, that beauty also means we occasionally have to deal with hurricane season.
We know weather uncertainty can be stressful, especially when you have been planning your wedding for months (or years!), so please know that we are watching this closely and will communicate any important changes as soon as we know them.
Our goal is simple: celebrate love, keep everyone safe, and take things one step at a time.
