✨ Meet Karen, our Building & Events Coordinator! ✨

For more than two years, Karen has helped bring weddings, celebrations, and special moments to life at the Southport Community Building. From helping brides choose the perfect setting to working on Southport’s many community events, she makes sure everything is just right 💍🤍

Her love for weddings started more than 10 years ago as a bridal makeup artist. After a few life and career changes, finding her way back to the wedding industry at the Community Building feels like the perfect fit!

When she’s not at the Community Building or enjoying a Southport event, you’ll find Karen at the beach, watching a good movie, or traveling 🌊🎬✈️

Yes! Every wedding package at the Southport Community Building includes a 2-hour outdoor deck rehearsal the day before your wedding.

We automatically reserve 9:00–11:00 AM, but as your wedding gets closer, we're happy to adjust that time if another event isn't scheduled that day. Morning rehearsals have become a favorite because they give you and your wedding party plenty of time to practice the ceremony before getting ready for your rehearsal dinner that evening.

Planning a rehearsal dinner? If you'd like to use the Community Building, we can discuss adding rental time as your date approaches. Or, if you're looking for another location, we're always happy to recommend some of our favorite Southport restaurants for celebrating with your family and friends.
