Sometimes life forces us to make hard decisions, and that's what we had to do today. Unfortunately, we will be canceling Lines Conference for 2016.
This saddens us desperately, but we know it is for the best. While we believe in the power of writing, hitting the publish button, and leveraging social media — we also fully believe in the idea of producing with excellence. If we are being honest, we could continue with Lines 2016 and make it work. The question we had to ask ourselves was — would it be excellent? As a team, we weighed the pros and cons and came to the conclusion that with timing and man power we could not put together an event that fit our standard of excellence. Is this the end of Lines? Heck, no! We believe in the power of putting pen to paper, witty tweets, flawless grams, and pinning like a fiend — we know that writing and hitting the publish button can change things. So we’ll be back. In the meantime, our team will be dreaming and preparing in order to bring the world a conference that won't just enter into the blogging and social media world, but a conference that will change the game for everyone.
Until then, we wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors. We’ll be cheering you on from Texas, believing in you, and we'll be sure to keep you informed when we’re ready to launch Lines 2017. If you've already bought your ticket we will be refunding you within the next week.
