The Chapa Family would like to say hello and thank you for choosing Carmelo’s Catering and Desserts. We started our business in 2010 from our home, making a few apple pies for Easter for our family. The pies were a hit, so on our way home my husband and I decided to make them for the holidays to sell. Our menu started with apple pie and pumpkin pie and then it grew from there. We wanted our custom

ers to be happy, so with every request, we were up for the challenge, which led us to catering parties. Our name started as Chapa’s Heavenly Pies and Cakes, but once we started catering we wanted to use the people in our lives that inspired us to cook and that were my husband’s nanu, Carmelo, and my mamaw, Pauline. My husband went to culinary school and was a cook in the navy and I grew up farming animals, growing fields of vegetables, learning to can, and baking with my mama. When serving our customers we want to use products that are not filled with a bunch of preservatives. We want to make food old school that takes you back HOME!!!
