Planning an event that is the highlight milestone of your career is no easy task. People think everything comes together seamlessly but that’s the furthest from the truth. I am so thankful that God touched the hearts of his strongest soldiers to come together and show me favor to pull off the most amazing yet impactful conference of 2022. Although God gave me the vision and I planned everything alone, there was a huge financial deficit that needed to be covered. And then He sent resources.

Britney of The Luxe Rental Collective is one of the angels who showed me favor and grace. There were times I wanted to quit and cancel everything and then she would “mysteriously” send me a reassuring text saying “You got this” at the time I needed it the most. Or she would call and say, “How can I help? What do you need? I’m so proud of you!” She never viewed me as competition and she never showed any jealousy over what I was producing. Britney is living proof that collaboration over competition can exist in the same industry, in the same city amongst black women. I’m forever grateful that she believed in my vision and saw it was bigger than the both of us.

Britney owns the largest African American event rental company in Michigan. Her journey is one to admire. Be sure follow and support her. She is also a very talented celebrity event designer. When Britney came onboard as the furniture sponsor, she said let’s go and do a venue walk through. (Now we both have been there a million times 🤣) but she treated me like a regular client and made sure she understood my vision and where I wanted things to go. She didn’t let ego get in the way or the fact that she was sponsoring overshadow that I was still her client. That says a lot about her character. Britney, you are a godsend.

Sponsor Alert: I am very appreciative of everyone who participated as a sponsor of my conference. I would like to highlight Chuck from who was the DJ for the full three day experience. He made sure the vibe and atmosphere was set and played an array of music that kept everyone upbeat and in tuned with what was going on. It takes a special skill set to play music in a conducive learning environment where people aren’t distracted but is still having a great time. I have worked with Chuck for the past 7 or 8 years and one word sums up my experience… Professional. Sponsor alert: I am very appreciative of every sponsor who participated in my conference. I would like to highlight Ray from . He is more than a contractor, he has become family over the years. I sent Ray my scribble scrabble and said, can you build this for me for the conference. He said, I got you and I’m gonna make sure you look good. He built (20) structures 😳😱 in an effort to help me live out my vision. At one point, the backdrop had broken during transit (due to my team) and Ray’s wife woke him up to get to the event at 630am to fix it before the show started 😭 listen, there are some good people in this world and I’m just blessed God had them all show up on Nov 11-13th. Another plus is that he is an electrician by trade. If you need event props & rentals, he is your guy. Let’s support his business…. Sponsor Alert: I am very appreciative of every sponsor who participated in my conference. I would like to highlight Kaann from .3d.renderings. I had a vision for the room but I knew how it important it would be for the students to see it ahead of time. Every event I design start off on loose leaf paper and looks like scribble scrabble lol 😂 I attached it for you to see it. I knew exactly how the room would turn out but I wanted a 3D rendering created. I sent my drawing to Kaann and she produced a tangible piece of art that ignited excitement into the attendees. We switched some things around on the day of with the balloons, but other than that… it was spot on. Thanks Kaann for being a sponsor and partner of the event. This one goes down in history… I’m forever grateful!! If you would like a 3D rendering of your event, she’s the professional to get it done, but know… this is a service that is an investment of a few thousand dollars. I know it’s worth it. ❤️

What a week!!!!!! I know this conference & revenue retreat will change the lives of every attendee!

I don’t believe things happen by coincidence. I’ve prayed and manifested for this exact weekend. Each one of these people participating in the conference weekend I followed and admired for yearsssss…. And to think I now have their phone numbers in my phone, to think that they are coming to support me, to think that they know my name, to think we have actual relationships… totally blows my mind. Some may think this happened overnight… but nope, in 2017 I told my business coach I wanted to host a conference. That was 5 years ago and this is the 5th Bosses’ Brunch. 5 is the number of God’s Grace.

If you are an event professional, this is one room you want to be in. We’re only talking about “Gettin to the Money”. We’re only talking about real strategies. These speakers are gonna pull back the curtain and show us what they do in their business.
