A great location: The historic Village of South Britain with 22 historic buildings: 22 homes, a town hall now a museum, Southbury's first library, a factory on the mill run and two churches at the center of the Village within a hundred feet of my two Homes. There are activities within another few hundred feet, hiking, biking and horse riding trails, bird watching at the Audubon Center, and a dairy farm, woods and fields on a dirt road that leads to the center of the Town of Southbury.

Perfect accommodations: The homes, Main House and Carriage House, are as they were built in 1795 except for modern kitchens and baths and a sky-lighted solarium for dinners and parties. There are striking views out to the grounds.

Perfect possibilities for events: over an acre of lawns ringed with flowering plants and a towering hill with huge trees as a backdrop. The other features are an open patio, a glass covered tea pavilion, a gazebo, bonfire pit, historic outhouse with three seats and capability to erect tents to seat up to 400 that are available to rent locally.. In case of rain the solarium and the homes two living rooms can accommodate as many as 75 people. Parking for that number can be accommodated using the home's 12 parking spaces, the 10 spaces along the road and over 100 in the Congregational Church' s nearby parking lot.
