January shows arenโt a January problem.
One of the most common mistakes we see in trade show planning is treating the show date like itโs the deadline.
It isnโt.
Your real deadlines happen weeks โ sometimes months โ earlier.
Before an exhibit ever reaches the show floor, the design has to be approved. Graphics have to be finalized. Materials need to be ordered. Production needs to happen. Freight needs to be scheduled. Labor and show services need to be coordinated.
And when those decisions get pushed too far downstream, the options usually get fewer while the costs go up.
The easiest way to avoid a โrush jobโ is to plan backward from the show date.
Know your ship date.
โ
Set your artwork deadline.
โ
Set your approval deadline.
โ
Understand the show rules.
โ
And make sure everyone involved knows who is responsible for making decisions.
If youโre exhibiting in Q1 2027, now is the time to get that schedule locked down.
Plan backward. Build forward.
