My grandmother Ann Maffucci, moved there in her teens, from Front Street in Hartford, along with her parents, Vincenza Zena Iudica (1913-2/25/1992) and Michael Cesare Sebastian Iudica (1907-1997). At that time, the farm provided 26 wide acres to explore and raise animals, along with several large barns housing nearly 10,000 chickens. Fast forward to the early 90’s, the farm has been shared with an
d passed down to the 2nd generation Maffucci family. We christened the farm with events, with our wedding, back in September 2014, and realized what a perfect venue this location provided. Not only is the landscape beautiful and well-maintained, by the Carol & Jon, and my Grandfather, Vito Maffucci, but the location is central to both interstate highways, and the heart of South Windsor is less than 10 minutes away. Our family farm provides a different experience than our other restaurants in Hartford and Windsor, because our family roots are there. We have all grown up on the farm, we have helped pick tomatoes on the hot summer day, we have learned how to cut basil so it shoots right back up, and we have learned how to incorporate the Vito’s Restaurant Group brand, at our farm. This location is a brand new venture, we are the perfect location for wine dinners, farm to table dinners, weddings, and corporate retreats. We are operational June 1 - Oct 31, and we incorporate any and all produce grown at our farm to our events. Vito’s puts only the best ingredients on the menu here, and we know brides and grooms that select us for there venue are ‘foodies’ who expect nothing less than exceptional food and a great atmosphere. Our goal is to share our family farm with couples and companies that want to have the best day possible, starting with a romantic ceremony near the gardens, moving to a breezy cocktail reception with tasty appetizers, through dinner service, with custom menus, suited to best match the couples tastes, and finishing the night with a great dance party including everyone on the dance floor and soaking in the best moments of their lives yet. Our family loves two things most; feeding people excellent food, and treating others like family.
