🇺🇸 A Coin That Represents Courage, Sacrifice, and Honor 🇺🇸

Lyons-Schepsco VFW Post 1451 in South River, NJ, is incredibly honored to have received this beautiful challenge coin commemorating Staff Sergeant Michael Ollis, Medal of Honor recipient, and his extraordinary sacrifice.

On August 28, 2013, while serving in Afghanistan, SSG Ollis made the ultimate sacrifice when he placed himself between a su***de bomber and a fellow soldier, saving that soldier's life at the cost of his own.

This special coin, representing the SSG Michael Ollis Freedom Foundation, now holds a place of honor in our Post's collection.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ollis family for sharing Michael's story and helping ensure that his courage, selflessness, and legacy will never be forgotten.

Some coins are collected. Others tell stories of true American heroes. This one is priceless. 🇺🇸
