When you choose to get married at home, on a family farm, you are not just picking a venue. You are choosing to bring the people you love most into a space that already holds your history, your comfort, and your closest, quietest memories.
Kelly & Emily’s wedding felt exactly like that—sheltered, deeply personal, and heavy with love. 🦋

There are moments we get to witness in this profession that instantly engrave themselves into our hearts, and for these two, it was their grandmas. Having them walk down the aisle as “flower grandmas,” tossing petals onto the grass, was so much more than a sweet ceremony detail. It was this beautiful, tangible bridge between generations. Watching the pride and joy on their faces as they paved the path for Kelly and Emily to walk down was a profound reminder of the family roots that hold us up.

As the night took over and the lights began to glow from inside the tent, the whole atmosphere shifted into pure celebration. We built a beautiful space from scratch right there on the lawn, but it was the laughter, the unfiltered joy, and the energy of their people that truly made it come alive.

To be invited into a space this sacred, and to ensure these two incredible women could just breathe & look around at the life they have built, is exactly why we do what we do. 🤍

A wedding day that completely strips away the noise and invites everyone to just be present. 🦋

This past May, we had the honor of stepping in for 3-month pre-planning and day of coordination for a gorgeous private residence wedding on Long Island. As the weekend approached, nature had its own plans, and we pivoted seamlessly to a rain plan. But if our time in the wedding industry have taught us anything, it’s that the weather is just a backdrop—the true atmosphere of a wedding is built entirely by the gentle souls of the couple.

Looking through these imagery details, our hearts are just so full. We see the quiet, grounding moments that define a lifetime commitment—the way hands were held with such tenderness during the ceremony, the shared breaths, and the calm, steady presence of the family surrounding them. And of course, the pure, unbothered joy of navigating the wet grass together under a clear umbrella, laughing through the raindrops.

In life, these two incredible individuals spend their days showing up, listening, and holding sacred space for others to heal. To be able to turn the tables and protect that space for them—to handle the logistics, manage the shifts, and ensure they could just feel every ounce of their day—is a privilege we will carry with us for a very long time. The day wasn’t just beautiful; it was filled with an immense, tangible, and healing kind of love.

To our wonderful couple: thank you for trusting our hands with your vision, and for reminding everyone in attendance what a wedding is truly about.

Happy Pride Month from the two of us 🏳️‍🌈🦋

It’s really no coincidence that we named our wedding planning & coordination business The Butterfly Effect Weddings. The whole concept is rooted in the idea that one small choice, one tiny shift in momentum, can completely alter the course of a life. And the truth is, absolutely no one is immune to it. That is what makes it incredibly special… a common thread we share, no matter who you are or where you are in the world.

For both of us, the first big identity shift was the choice to choose ourselves. To do the hard, necessary self work to find out who we really were… who did we really love. But the ultimate catalyst? That was finding each other. Falling deeply in love, trusting the universe without hesitation, & building this life together has been, and continues to be, the most healing, transformative, and deeply loving process of our entire lives.

Love runs so incredibly deep. It shapes who we are as human beings, how we see the world, and how we care for the people around us. Because we know firsthand how life-changing it is to be truly seen and celebrated, our absolute passion as LGBTQ wedding planners is to protect that very space for others.

No matter who you love, how you love, or what your preference is—your love story is sacred, it is powerful, and it deserves to be protected.

Carlygrace & Andrew 🦋

The shift from the grounded intimacy of Carlygrace and Andrew’s morning to the vibrant energy of their ceremony and reception was unforgettable in the best way possible. The intimate spaces of The Pingry School completely came alive—framed by lush, sweeping floral installations that perfectly accented the fireplace, and a bubble-filled recessional that had the entire room smiling.

What makes these two so special is how naturally they draw people into their light & shared joy. We loved experiencing their absolute giddiness of cutting their heart-shaped vintage cake, their first dances and shared toasts, and those sweet, blurred-out kisses that feel like they are the only two people in the room.

Protecting the hearts behind these moments is exactly why we do what we do. Stepping in as their two month pre-planning wedding planners and day-of coordinators allowed us to manage the unique venue layout, vendor logistics, and execute their design seamlessly behind the scenes. We wanted to make sure the moving parts were entirely invisible to them, leaving Carlygrace & Andrew completely free to just be present, celebrate wildly, and soak in every single second… just how they deserve to. 🤍
