It’s been seven days since B*APALOOZA and I’m still trying to process how lucky I am. 🖤
What started as a wild idea turned into one of the most love-filled, chaotic, hilarious, beautiful days of my life. To everyone who showed up, stayed all day, helped set up, cleaned up, hauled tents, blew up balloons, stocked coolers, got me drunk, danced in my yard, or simply took time to celebrate with me… thank you will never feel big enough. 🥹🖤
Special shout outs because these people absolutely SHOWED up:
🎂 Heather from Sugar Me Happy brought my cake dreams to life. The smash cake was GORGEOUS and exactly how I envisioned it. Unfortunately for her hard work… we absolutely smashed it. 😂 the parts that got crammed into my mouth and nostrils were decilous 😂
🍪 Danielle from Danielle’s Little Bakery came out of retirement for the most insanely beautiful hand-painted cookies. Nobody does it like her.
🍪 Aunt Darla & Uncle Kevin created the most immaculate cookie table imaginable. Pittsburgh people KNOW the importance of a good cookie table and yinz crushed it.
🐾 Celina spent all day doing tiny tattoos and dealing with our beautiful chaos. I’m obsessed with my little balloon dog.
🔊 Willie from 2nd II None Productions .pro made sure the entire Township of South Park knew I turned 40. 😂
And the biggest thank you to my parents, Dave & Jen Metz, for helping pull this entire thing together behind the scenes.
I’ve spent so much of my life building community through every season and version of myself, and getting to see all of those people together in one place is something I’ll genuinely never forget.
My cup is very, very full. 🖤
