An old mentor of mine from my corporate life used to remind me to pay attention to who was bringing the right energy into my life.

I think about this a lot. It applies whether I’m planning an event or navigating a tough personal moment.

The friend who jumps in

Don't get me wrong.

I love a good bar/bat mitzvah montage. But now we’re 5 songs deep with no end in sight. I highly recommend no longer than 7-8 minutes. We want to keep the energy up and the dance floor going!
