Thank you to everyone who came out to support the decades of tireless bird rescue work of Fred Homer and Deb Feiner and listen to the nature and bird inspired live playlist by Bard Owl (including a song written just for the event!). All of the financial and frozen rodent contributions will go a long way to help rehabilitate the birds currently in Fred’s care including magestic Stella and the wee baby Barred Owl that also joined us last night. 🦉❤️🥰🎶

Perhaps you’ve met Stella the Owl, or rushed an injured bird to Fred Homer, or contributed mousicles or ratpops to his cooler. Or maybe you didn’t know about the decades of unpaid, tireless volunteer efforts that Fred has put in to rescue and re-release hundreds of injured birds that he’s nurtured back to health. This is your chance to help Fred with this work. Please join us next Saturday for our Fred Homer Wild Bird Rescue Fundraiser & Raptor Food Drive sponsored by us at the South Newfane Community Association, and featuring the music of Bard Owl (of course!). You’ll even have the chance to meet Stella!!

Okok. We have a few more thank yous & accolades from last night’s event. First, bravo to each of the four teams (pictured below) who collaborated, corroborated, & worked together to come to a consensus on the one wine that they chose to advance to the judges 👏🏽👏🏽.
Also, we couldn’t have pulled this off without the doubled-down help from our volunteers Laura, Amy, Shey, and Daimian (and EVERYONE who pitched in to help clean up at the end!). Finally, our incredible sponsors , Vermont Wine Merchants Co, The Newfane Store, and Fat Crow Restaurant who bolstered our gift basket (bucket) prizes. It was such a special evening and we can’t wait to do it again!
