A quick note for everyone who enjoys the park.

We love seeing families and groups out here using the picnic grounds. That is exactly what they are meant for. After a large gathering, it costs the park $186 just to empty the dumpster, and that is before staff time and ATV fuel to collect and haul everything out. The reservation fee simply covers those basic costs and helps us bring in a little operating revenue so we can keep the park clean, maintained, and open for everyone.

The picnic grounds do need to be reserved ahead of time. This helps make sure that anyone who plans in advance does not show up to find their spot already taken. We understand that not everyone may know this, so hopefully this reminder helps get the word around.

On the topic of the picnic grounds, we will soon be replacing the old worn‑out picnic tables with beautiful new redwood ones. We also have plans to rebuild the aging fire pit behind the picnic area so grilling can resume in a safe and fire‑code‑approved way. These upgrades are another example of how reservation fees help us take care of the park and keep improving it for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who reserves ahead and helps us keep things running smoothly. It really does make a difference. 😀👍
