A little piece of my story is out in the world today.
I had the chance to chat with Canvas Rebel Magazine about how this personal chef journey began, the lessons I’ve learned, and what growth has looked like—personally and professionally.

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but this made me pause and reflect on how far things have come. I'm so grateful for the people who have trusted me to feed them, supported my dream, and cheered me on behind the scenes.

This past weekend, Laila and I had the joy of attending the But, First Dessert gala in support of Eddy House — an incredible organization providing hope and resources to homeless youth. 🍰✨

We indulged in a delicious dessert competition, tasting our way through sweet creations and casting our votes (Laila, age 7, was very serious about her judging duties!).

I was also honored to have my business, Sweet Party, featured in the live auction, where guests bid on a private culinary experience for a party of 8. So grateful to be part of such a meaningful night filled with sugar, smiles, and support for a great cause. 💛

✨ Reflecting on 2024 ✨

Wow, what a year! I’m beyond grateful for everything this past year has brought me. Looking back, I can’t help but feel amazed at all the incredible moments Sweet Party has been a part of.

This year, I had the privilege of being the head chef and coordinator for 71 unique events! Among those, 23 clients returned, and I welcomed 48 new clients into the Sweet Party family. Some highlights:
🎉 10 events spanned 2 days, and 1 unforgettable event lasted 4 days.
🎉 One amazing VIP client booked me 5 times (Thank you, Danielle + Ashton!), while another booked 3 times (Thank you, Bill!).

From micro weddings and family reunions to company retreats and milestone celebrations, each event was unique and filled with joy. Some standout moments:
🏞️ A charming party at a 100-year-old cabin on Wrights Lake, where I cooked in the tiniest old-fashioned kitchen—so cozy and fun!
🎷 A New Orleans-themed 90th birthday bash that turned into a two-day rager with live bands, over 100 guests, and even a visit from the cops each night. Thank you, Brad, for hosting such an unforgettable celebration!

To my incredible dream team—Phoenix, Chris, Sam, Alecia, and Kyle—thank you for always having my back and making everything possible. You are truly the best!

As I look ahead, I’m thrilled to announce that 2025 marks 10 years since I started Sweet Party. Tahoe has been an amazing home for my small business, and I’m so excited to create even more special memories with all of you.

Here’s to the future, more amazing events, and all the love and support from my wonderful clients, friends, and family.

✨Fun Fact: it’s not the blue whale…mushrooms are in fact the largest living organism on the planet. ✨Another fascinating fact about the white button mushroom is that it’s the same mushroom as the crimini, or brown mushroom, as well as the portabella. The difference is simply their age. The brown crimini and the large, brown portabella are more mature versions of the very same mushroom.
