Last night Foundry Hall hosted an instrument petting zoo at the Riverfront. The zoo is now on the road! The 10 instruments from a banjo to an accordion to a doumbek, will be enjoyed by people on the west side of Chicago at La Follette Park.

Foundry Hall sponsored a performance by Kalamazoo based cellist, songwriter Jordan Hamilton and jazz pianist RJ Keys Johnson at South Haven High School last week. The assembly style program called “Culture in the Classroom” was an awesome experience for students and staff! Thank you to Alexis Ballard, owner and artistic director of Our Legacy Danceand Performing Arts Studio in Battle Creek for creating and coordinating this important program!

Here’s a clip from last week’s Scott Club concert featuring Lisa Sung on piano, Andrew Bishop in saxophone, David Alvarez in drums and Josef Deas on bass. It was a great concert! Keep and eye out for the next Scott Club concert in the spring!
