Are you watching City Council agendas? Little by little the public parks, beaches and walkways are sold out for private profiteers. If you care about preserving public space for non commercial enjoyment for everyone, let the city know.

For the Record: We are vehemently opposed to the upcoming ordinance that will permit the City of South Haven to rent our public parks and beaches right out from under the locals, visitors and the world. We want them free, open to all, just like they have always been. Spread the word!!

We have tents, tables and chairs, catering, flowers, photographers, decorators, public address system, DJ, event planners and service staff. We have a legal wedding officiate as well.

A wide open stretch of white sand beach, a long sandbar, the most beautiful beach of Lake Michigan, at Packard Park. Just step down to it!

Packard Park is a quiet, neighborhood beach park. It has public restrooms, shady trees, and a “tot-lot” playground.
It is walkable to The North Beach, Oak St. Beach, Dyckman Beach, The Black River Drawbridge, The Harborwalk and downtown SoHa.
The beach at Packard Park is revered by locals for it’s long sandbar, which encourages water play for children of all ages.
Adults can walk out nearly 1/4 mile and still have water below arm level. BIG lake fun!

There is a City of South Haven paid parking lot surrounding the park, and plentiful free parking on North Shore Drive and in the neighborhoods.

Stanley Johnston Memorial Park is massive and in the very center of everything SoHa has to offer, simply within a short walk. Dyckman Beach is steps away, North Beach and Packard Park beach about 3 blocks away.
The park has public restrooms, a Grand Pavilion covering picnic tables with seating, many mature trees and public gardens, plus an overlook to the Black River Harbor.
