Meet Maddie, Stage284’s intern, from Ipswich! Maddie’s made such an impact on the work and people here, an absolutely impressive student.

At Stage284, we take the performing arts serious and challenge our actors so they can grow with experiential learning opportunities. Whether that’s in our summer workshops or internships, we help develop confidence and voice. It’s transformational.

Maddie, we’re so proud of you, good luck in New York! Thanks for growing with us. ❤️❤️

The guidon is now officially home in Texas.

We’re deeply grateful to David Perinchief, Hamilton resident and Beverly Director of Veterans Services, for helping make this meaningful moment possible. Especially as we approach Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Events like this remind us that veterans are not only heroes of our nation’s history, but also a community that deserves continued visibility, support, dignity, and inclusion. Too often, veterans face barriers to opportunity, belonging, and recognition. Preserving and returning symbols like this guidon is about more than history; it is about affirming that their service, stories, and sacrifices matter.

This year's Warrior Weekend event in Beverly was a powerful reminder that honoring veterans means creating communities where they are seen, valued, and supported long after their service ends.
