The Community House The Community House is dedicated to enrichment through the arts and events that promote togetherness and strengthen the community. We hope you will join us!

The Community House is a private, non-profit organization which sponsors cultural, social, educational and recreational programs. In 1921, such offerings included a special men’s smoking room and canning classes for women. Nowadays, offerings include a variety of family, child and adult programs, activities for seniors, community events and space for gatherings of all types. The Community House ha

s hosted activities for all ages for more than 90 years, while serving citizens of Hamilton and Wenham. Many residents have fond memories of the Friday Night Movies, scout meetings, bowling, dances and more at the Community House. At present we are host to many programs and activities for families and children, programs for Adults and Seniors, our Special Friends and the many community organizations who meet here regularly. Our lovely Main Hall and President’s Library are the perfect location for an intimate wedding reception, anniversary, special birthday celebration of business function. Today, the Community House and our programs continue to answer the needs of our citizens, while being good stewards of our beautiful historic buildings. Become a supporter today.

🎨📚 Creative Corner sessions are returning this fall! 🎶🖌️

Spark your child’s imagination with Creative Corner—a playful and enriching experience for ages 18 months to 5 years! Join us each week for two exciting classes designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection.

Session 1: September 25 – October 30, Thursdays at 10 am
Session 2: November 6 – December 18 (excluding Thanksgiving week), Thursdays at 10 am

🖍️ Art & Sensory Play: Hands-on fun with textures, colors, and materials in open-ended activities that focus on the process—not the product. Perfect for little artists ready to explore!

🎵 Movement through Music & Storytelling: Watch stories come alive with music, instruments, and movement! This interactive class builds vocabulary, coordination, and creativity through rhythm and imagination.
