October 2017. My very first fundraiser!
An evening dedicated to raising funds in support of cancer care at Robert Wood Johnson.
I helped plan the event, emceed the evening, and even took the microphone to personally appeal to people to open their hearts and wallets!
If there is one thing I learned from that experience, it is that raising money for a cause is one of the toughest things to do. It takes persistence, a little courage, and a whole lot of convincing! But there is something incredibly rewarding about bringing people together for a purpose and watching all the planning come to life.
And a special shoutout to Jebu Mathew .His live food station was an absolute hit that evening. People couldn’t stop raving about his food! Some things never change — he continues to work his magic with food, and I continue to be a fan!
And here’s another fun little memory — this was also one of Karan Singh Verma first gigs! Look how far we’ve come!
Almost nine years!!!
