Ten Minutes of Truth is proud to launch a Boots on The Ground contest. Halifax County High School students join the movement. Shawn A. Barksdale is encouraging our youth to use their WORDS NOT WEAPONS! Shawn will be speaking to HCHS students on November 15th, with four motivational and inspirational presentations. If you are a parent, guardian, or connected to an HCHS student, ask them how Shawn is changing the narrative where violence is concerned. Shawn is bridging the gap between the community, law enforcement, and our youth in many ways. Most importantly his BOOTS ARE ON THE GROUND!

Faith Ringgold, born in 1930, crafts a big story into this stunning quilt.

Part of the painted story quilt series "The French Collection," Ringgold tells the tale of fictional Black American heroine Willia Marie Simone, who leaves home for Paris in the 1920s to become an artist.

A selection of text on the fabric reads, “Right now I feel as strong as all the women who have ever lived… There is a certain power I keep in the translation of my image from me to canvas. I enjoy seeing that in the finished work.”

The House of Mugler and its ambassadress Willow Smith are pleased to announce a $50,000 donation to the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Fueled by her deep belief that involvement with the arts and access to one’s creative side is key to everyone’s self-development journey, Willow Smith hand selected Baltimore School for the Arts as the entity she would like to sponsor through the House of Mugler.

This special grant will help the 400+ students by providing material and educational resources to advance their academic and creative learning.

“I believe deeply in the mission of BSA and am thrilled Mugler will contribute to their continued growth and positive impact, which will help talented and driven young people succeed, no matter their chosen path”, comments Willow Smith.
