Get ready for NEW music from Willie Nelson, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (their first duet ever!), Modest Mouse, Prince (yes, THAT Prince!), Thee Sinseers, Mama's Gun, The Womack Sisters, Mike Campbell & Dirty K***s, Mike D from Beastie Boys, Ween, a killer new track from Father John Misty, and lots more!! We'll see how many songs I can fit in 2 hours.

New show Friday!

This week would have been Miles Davis' 100th birthday, so we're getting in on the celebration here at Off the Shelf.

After we get warmed up with some rare funk jams, we'll hear some tracks from Miles himself, as well as an exploration of what some of Miles' band mates did after leaving the band.

You will hear music from Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams, Ron Carter, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane and others.

KSVY's VINYL REVOLUTION - BILL STALLINGS TRIBUTE

I will be live in the studio tomorrow paying tribute to the one and only Bill Stallings. Bill was a true legend of radio that had a massive impact on our community. Did you know he coined the term "classic rock"?

I'll be paying tribute to his two shows, Tasty Nuggets, and Rox Files, as well as playing some records Bill gave me the first time I met him.

The phone lines will be open if you have a story to share.

Stay tuned after my show for The Vinyl Cave with DJ Dragonfly from 7-10 who will be paying tribute to Bill as well.

Rest in peace, Bill. You were truly one of the greats.

Tonight, with deep sadness, we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime KSVY brother of the airwaves, Bill Stallings, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bill was a beloved voice of KSVY Sonoma 91.3 FM — host of Tasty Nuggets and The RoxFiles, voice of weather and announcements, mentor, music lover, and a true steward of our community radio. His warmth, cranky spirit, and intense, artful passion for sharing music and connection across the airwaves touched so many of us. We love Bill and this will take a minute . . . but we got this.

We send our love and condolences to his sister Rhonda, his family, friends, and all who loved him.

More information will be shared in the coming days.

Rest easy, Bill. We love you.
