arsals, and events, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. This includes not only events organized by Dance Union Studio, The Tango Society of Boston, but also all the other e events organized by others that take place at Dance Union Studio.
1. Respect for Others
>Treat all students, instructors, staff, and visitors with courtesy and kindness.
>Respect personal space and boundaries—always ask before initiating physical contact outside of instructed activities.
>Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
2. Safe & Respectful Dancing
>Follow the instructions of the teacher or event organizer.
>Maintain good hygiene for the comfort of everyone.
>Adjust your dance style and energy to the space and your partner’s comfort level.
>No rough, unsafe, or aggressive dancing.
3. Inclusive Environment
>We welcome dancers of all backgrounds, genders, and experience levels.
>No assumptions about a dancer’s preferred role (leader or follower)—always ask.
>Be supportive of new and developing dancers.
4. Communication
>If someone expresses discomfort, respect their request immediately without debate.
>If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, inform an instructor, or the organizer promptly.
5. Your tardiness could disrupt the class in process and you might be unable to follow the class in progress.
>Silence or mute cell phones during lessons.
>Keep the dance floor clear when not dancing.
>Only bring water or closed-lid beverages into the dance space—no food on the floor.
6. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Harassment includes (but is not limited to):
>Unwelcome touching or comments about appearance.
>Sexual advances or suggestive remarks.
>Persistent requests for dances after a refusal.
>Disruptive, intimidating, or aggressive behavior.
7. Consequences
Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:
>A verbal or written warning.
> Temporary or permanent removal from classes, events, or Dance Union Studio. Individuals may also be prohibited from attending any future events organized by Dance Union Studio or its organizers, whether held at the studio or at another location.
>No refund for fees paid in cases of removal. We are here to dance, connect, and grow together. Let’s keep our studio a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and inspired. Any questions, contact Vicky Magaletta.
