Somerset Contra Dance Contra Dancing WHAT: Contra Dance, of course! Beginners' lesson starts at 7pm. WHEN: When there's a 5th Saturday in the month, we have a dance!

Beginners' lesson at 7pm, dance from 7:30-10:30pm. WHERE: The Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church in Somerset, KY. HOW MUCH: $4 for students, seniors, CAP volunteers, childcare (for 8 and under), $6 regular adult admission. We host a variety of callers. Live music provided by house band, The Mixed Nuts. This kickin' contra-orchestra is comprised of both Berea and Somerset Musicians:

Folks, this is a cause that is dear to my heart: scholarship funds at Cumberland Dance Week. As you may know, I've been in charge of the scholarship/work exchange program at camp for many a year now. I've helped build the program to the point where over 40 people a year are able to afford camp. I'm proud of it, and want to see it continue.

This auction is for a like-new cherry mountain dulcimer by Warren May AND 3-4 lessons with Patty Tarter, niece of iconic folk singer, Jean Ritchie.
