Before there were crowds and ropes around Maroon Lake, we could freely walk up to the edge of the water and take photos like this. The ropes have been in place for years now in order to protect the fragile ecosystem due to many visitors, but I see so many visitors and photographers disregarding this rule. I’ve even seen an entire photography workshop on the other side of the rope!

We need to do better and save our nature for those who come after us to enjoy it as well!

As a photographer specializing in outdoor weddings, literally all of my work takes place on public lands.

The senate has introduced a bill that would force the sale of up to 3.3 million acres of public land. That includes nearly 100,000 miles of trails, 8,000+ climbing areas, and 3,400+ river miles.

If you’ve ever thought about taking action to protect the outdoors, now is the time.
