From the driver’s seat to the songwriter’s chair!

Next weekend I’m headed to Minneapolis for Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) 2026, where I’ll be performing in the First-Timers Songwriters Showcase.

I’ll be sharing original songs and stories alongside fellow songwriters in one of FARM’s late-night rounds.

Saturday night, October 24, rolling into Sunday morning, October 25.

I’ve spent a good part of this year driving other musicians to their gigs. In a couple of weeks, I’ll be climbing onto a stage myself.

I’m headed to Minneapolis for the Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) 2026 Gathering, where I’ve landed a spot in the First-Timers Songwriters Showcase.

I’ll be sharing the stage with fellow songwriter Alan Getto, and possibly one more, for a late-night round of original songs and stories.

Saturday night, October 24 — technically Sunday morning, October 25.
1:30–2:15 AM
Royal Sonesta Minneapolis Downtown.

1:30 in the morning? Hell, after all these years on the road, that’s practically prime time.

I had one simple mission in Boston: find a lobster roll.
Somehow this required public transportation, questionable directions and a minor expedition through Somerville. 🦞😂

One of those nights I’m going to remember for a long time.

Opening the show at Globe Iron in Cleveland, watching Peaches tear the place up, and getting to share the night with my friends and owner of the Beachland Ballroom Cindy Barber and David Ellmers — who came out after met them at Folk Alliance in New Orleans. I had toured through her incredible venue when I was driving for Tab Benoit.

There’s something pretty damn special about looking out from the stage and seeing people you know in the room.

A great crowd, a wild show, and another little chapter in this strange road I seem to keep finding myself on.

Thanks, Cleveland. I’m still smiling.

Somewhere between St. Louis, Calgary, Vancouver, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Boston, apparently Dickie and I became a poster. 😂

Ellison made this when we rolled into Boston today, and I’m not gonna lie — I think he pretty much nailed us.

Three cities left: Boston, Toronto and Buffalo.

It’s strange getting this close to the end. A month ago we were loading the bus and wondering what kind of circus we’d signed up for. Turns out it’s been one hell of a ride — a lot of miles, a lot of laughs, some great people, and enough stories to last me a while.

Wouldn’t trade it.

Boston tonight. Toronto and Buffalo to go. Then I drop them off and point the bus toward home.

“Rails of Glory” live at Globe Iron in Cleveland, Ohio.

I had the chance to open the show for Peaches, with Wheelchair Sports Camp were also on the bill. Pretty damn good place for an original song to stretch its legs.
It’s not often a gift like this comes around.

I’ve seen a lot of shows in my life, but driving Peaches on this tour has been a whole different education. 😂😜😘 The best of the best!

This was one of those moments where the room just went completely off the rails.
