“Father Father, We don’t need to escalate, You see, war is not the answer, For only Love can conquer hate” - Marvin Gay

Under the cover of October skies, a party train rolled into town on Friday afternoon and ignited our souls as 🎶 Bizz & Everyday People took us on a musical roller coaster: the finale at the Harvester was a truly unforgettable experience! The combination of classic Motown hits and the energy of a 10-piece band like Bizz created a vibrant atmosphere. From Bill Withers to Beyoncé, the music appeals to a wide audience, creating a sense of connection among attendees.

As the evening was coming to a close, the Church of Bizz was not complete for as the band was striking the stage, Bizz picked up the mic and serenaded the already uplifted crowd and he sent us all home with a message that we can all embrace : a change is going to come.

More about the band...

Bizz and Everyday People is a 10 piece R&B/Funk band known for its infectious rhythms and upbeat, high energy show. The band consists of a funky four piece rhythm section a three-piece horn section, a male and two female lead vocals.
They are also known for their diverse playlist that has a little something for everyone, along with their medleys, which will definitely keep you on the dance floor and singing along.

NFocus Magazine recently named them Best Party Band of 2024.
Band leader Wendell “Bizz” Bigsby, the eldest son of Nashville music legend Jimmy Church of “Night Train” fame, makes sure everyone is engaged and having a great time.

Up next: 👉Join us when artisans and vendors descend to Historic Downtown Smithville, Tennessee, including Main Street and West Walnut Street, on Friday, September 19, for the Fourth Annual Art Walk. This year's (free!) event features live music in the street with 🎶 Marguerite and the Midnight Ramblers, and the Harvester will be open with full bar service, and Jude's Traveling Food truck on site.

Marguerite Beane 🎤 feels that one of the greatest gifts that music has given her is community - among other musicians, listeners, mentors, and students - and it is through this art and community that she attempts to understand the world around her. Her sonic and life philosophies have been shaped heavily by the art she consumes and the folks who introduced them to her. It is through all this information and human collaboration that she intends to move in this world and continue to create.

The street will become a safe-walking pedestrian area, akin to a European Street Fair, with the festivities occurring from 3pm-9pm. Organizers have curated a variety of art mediums this year. Emerging Artists will join many returning artists from previous years like wood workers, jewelers, sculptors, painters & photographers. Local organizations will also be on hand to meet and greet the public.
