From our very inception our mission was crystal clear. We create an environment for aspiring musicians to learn to excel at their instrument of choice in a fun performance based environment. Our students don’t simply learn how to play an instrument. They learn music theory, technique, improvisational skills…. and most importantly they learn what it takes to be a musician.

🎹 NOW HIRING: PIANO & VOCAL INSTRUCTOR

Musicology Performance Center is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Piano & Vocal Instructor to join our team at our performance-based music school.

We are looking for a working musician and dedicated educator who can inspire students while creating a fun, positive, and engaging learning environment.

🎶 ABOUT THE POSITION

Our instructors work with students across a wide variety of musical styles, from classical and jazz to pop, rock, and contemporary music.

The ideal candidate knows how to make lessons both educational and exciting while helping each student develop their musical skills, confidence, creativity, and individuality.

Our instructors are an important part of each student’s musical journey and are expected to provide a dynamic lesson experience where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired.

🎸 RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide high-quality private music instruction
* Prepare students for performances, shows, and other musical opportunities
* Create and document thoughtful, individualized lesson plans
* Track student progress and communicate with parents regarding development
* Build positive relationships with students and families
* Create an engaging, encouraging, and professional lesson environment
* Participate in the Musicology Performance Center community and performances
* Help students develop both their musical skills and creative potential

⭐ IDEAL CANDIDATE

* 4+ years of professional teaching and/or performing experience
* Strong piano and/or vocal skills
* Knowledge of music theory and curriculum development
* Experience teaching a variety of musical styles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent customer-service skills
* Resourceful and able to solve problems independently
* Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
* Enthusiastic, patient, flexible, and positive
* Professional judgment and reliability are essential
* Passion for teaching and working with students
* Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music education/training
