🇨🇿 A Little Reintroduction from Taste of Prague 🇨🇿

For those who are new here—and for those who have been following along for a while—we thought it was time to reintroduce ourselves. ❤️

We are Becca and Lukas owners of Taste of Prague, a family-owned Czech food truck bringing a little taste of the Czech Republic to Louisiana and beyond.

My husband, Lukas is Czech, and Czech food and culture have always been a meaningful part of our family. For us, food isn’t just something you eat—it’s a way of sharing family, tradition, memories, and a piece of where you come from.

That’s really where Taste of Prague began.

Our goal is simple: to share the experience of authentic Czech food with anyone who is willing to try it. 🇨🇿❤️

Whether you grew up eating svíčková and knedlíky, you’re Czech and missing a taste of home, or you’ve never tried Czech food in your life—we want you at our table.

From goulash and svíčková to vepřo-knedlo-zelo, schnitzel, kolaches and trdelník, we want every dish to give you a little taste of Czech tradition.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us, stopped by our truck, tried something new, shared our posts, brought friends, or simply cheered us on.

We’re not just serving food. We’re sharing a culture, a tradition, and a piece of our family with you.

Envie Supper Social ~ What It Is

So I wanted to take a minute to talk about the dining series that you’ve seen me post up about.

Many months back when I knew I was going to have a physical location, I knew that meant I would finally be able to provide opportunities for talented chefs- including home caterers and food truck folks - to host a “restaurant night”.

How fun for both the diner and the culinary creative to be able to experience a sit down experience that might be a bit different than the typical one that these small businesses were providing.

Somewhere along the way, I came across the word “envie”. To other folks that aren’t from here, it essentially means a craving, a want. Love it. It’s so Louisiana and even though I’m a Yankee (shhhh 🤫) love the idea of leaning into local traditions, culture, and words. Still working on pronouncing lagniappe correctly!!

Doors open at 5:30 PM

Arrive at your convenience and take in the atmosphere of Maeve’s Place. Enjoy the beautifully decorated setting, candlelit ambiance, and warm European-inspired surroundings before dinner begins.

✦ DINNER BEGINS

Seating & dinner service: 6:30–8:00 PM

There is no assigned dinner seating time.

Once dinner service begins, guests may be seated at any time between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM.

Once seated, one of our professional servers will welcome you to your table, present your menu selections, and guide you through your three-course dining experience.

Your $75 ticket includes:

APPETIZER
A thoughtfully prepared first course to begin your evening.

ENTRÉE
A traditional Czech-inspired main course prepared especially for this special event.
