I was thinking today about why Pride Month feels so aligned with what we set out to build at Party Fair Skillman.
The truth is, Adam and I didn’t open a party store because we wanted to sell balloons and paper goods.
We opened it because we understand the incredible importance of not just celebrating, but FEELING CELEBRATED!
A graduation party says, “I’m proud of you.”
A baby shower says, “We can’t wait to meet you.”
A wedding says, “We’re so happy you found each other.”
A birthday says, “We’re glad you’re here.”
And Pride says, “You deserve to be exactly who you are.”
Different celebrations. Same message.
You matter.
As a celebration business, Pride Month is a reminder that the easy part is carrying rainbow products.
The more important part is asking ourselves how we can show up for our community in meaningful ways.
How do we create a space where people feel welcome?
How do we support creators, makers, and businesses from diverse communities?
How do we celebrate all families, relationships, milestones, and stories?
How do we continue learning, listening, and growing?
We’re not perfect, and we’ll never have all the answers. But we believe showing up matters.
Because at the end of the day, the best part of what we do isn’t selling party supplies.
It’s helping people celebrate the people they love.
Happy Pride Month. 🌈
