Please share!! Together as a community we can make things how they use to be! We have to work together for the greater good. I was so worried for those who are not tech savvy and who have a loss of vision, etc. This is just one of the reasons, I chose this to be my home. ❤️ Seeing neighboring towns, helping us really means a lot. Thanks again Cason!!!

🌟 Hello Sistersville! 🌟

I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Sistersville, and I’m reaching out to you, the heart and soul of our community, for your support and partnership in shaping a brighter future for our town.

As I embark on this journey, I want to ensure that I’m fully informed about every aspect of our city to develop the best plan for our collective success. That’s why I’ve taken the initiative to request comprehensive public information regarding the City of Sistersville’s financials, including the annual budget, grants received, employee salaries, ongoing projects, and pending legal matters.

Transparency and accountability are at the core of my vision for Sistersville. I believe that an open government concept is crucial for fostering trust and collaboration within our community. That’s why I’m committed to working hand-in-hand with our city council, maintaining open lines of communication, and ensuring that there’s ample opportunity for public input on important decisions.

I’ve recently sent a formal request to Meghan Keller, our City Recorder, seeking detailed information on the city’s financial records. This includes insights into the Water and Sewer Department, other city departments, and any pending legal matters. By understanding our financial landscape, we can develop targeted strategies to rejuvenate our town, support local businesses, and enhance our quality of life.

I firmly believe that Sistersville’s strength lies in our unity and collective effort. Together, we can bring Sistersville back to its former glory and create a thriving community that we’re all proud to call home.

I humbly ask for your support and your vote on March 28 as we embark on this journey together. Let’s build a brighter future for Sistersville, one step at a time!

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. Your voice matters, and I’m here to listen.

Thank you for your support, and let’s make Sistersville shine! ✨

Sincerely,
Genine Van Horn
