Life update! My move has been life changing, to say the least. Never did I expect to find the most perfect place for me. There have been months of struggle and of worrying if I still have it in me to lead a crew after 3 years of just DJ and I. The answer is yes. And I am so happy with my crew. Here's a pic a few of us took just cuz. Love and miss you all, but know that I am good, very good.

Hello friends! Life update: I have made it to NC and am pursuing furthering my career here. I miss all of you, and am thankful for the time we shared! Pictured is my son, fresh out of basic training in the Army, his big brother and myself. His strength showed me it is important to do what we dream, even if we are scared to death to do it. Nothing worth it is ever easy, and that is truly what life is about. Have a happy holiday season, friends!

Today’s cooking class at Plum's Cooking Company was the last event in the name of Umami Cafe and Catering. It was a perfect full circle moment to share with my son, DJ, as my sous, who started the cafe with me 3 years ago. It has been an incredible journey and I want to thank all of my customers, customers who became friends, friends, family and everyone in between for three fantastic years. I thank the community of Sioux Falls as a whole for allowing me to pursue my dreams here. Here, where I started with a food truck in 2012, here where I led several restaurants, here where I was F&B Director and Executive Chef at the Sioux Falls Canaries all before Umami was a thought in my head. I may be moving on to new adventures, but I will never forget the decades of adventure right here in Sioux Falls. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart! ❤️

Congratulations to the Evans tonight! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It was bittersweet, knowing it is my last wedding here in Sioux Falls, but I am so glad it was you. May you live happy forever together. It is such a privilege to participate in such special moments. Also…you were all GORGEOUS!!! 😍

I will be doing family meals for this weekend. I will deliver the 4th and 5th, after 2pm. Or you can pick up at Umami.
Please pm this account with your order details. All orders are prepay, serve 4-6 and come fully cooked and ready to pop in the oven. If you have restrictions, please advise, I can make accommodations.
