Stork’s Rest Farm has endless offerings!

EVENTS - TEA - ETIQUETTE & PROTOCOL - GARDENS - ART Whether you are looking to escape daily life while taking part in afternoon tea or meandering through the endless gardens; or perhaps you have a special event or wedding on the horizon and need the perfect setting to top off your special occasion; or, if you are looking to build your or your children’s confidence through etiquette, protocol, and manners; or maybe even to let your creativity run wild in an art class, we are here for you!

Stork’s Rest Farm is a 65 acre farm tucked away in the North Carolina country side in the small town of Sims. Just a quick 20 minute drive away from the nearest city of Wilson and a 40 minute drive from the state’s capital, Raleigh.

Stork’s Rest Farm began to emerge in the early 90’s and has slowly grown into what you will see today. Manner House was completed in 2005 when owners, Dr. John and Joan Larsen, took full residency in 2017.

What’s in a name? The name Stork’s Rest Farm was coined after Dr. John Larsen. Dr. Larsen is a decorated OB/GYN and has spent the majority of his life delivering babies. As old tales have it, storks delivered babies. Dr. Larsen, in delivering babies, became the stork and he comes to this magnificent farm to rest, “Stork’s Rest Farm”.
