Is this true Tyler, TX?😎👁
Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, TX has told its unvaccinated employees that they may be required to show proof of a negative covid test, weekly. This is the most prominent Baptist church in Tyler.
Here is a direct quote from the email, regarding the new policy... "After that date, anyone who cannot show proof of vaccination may be required to show proof of a weekly negative PCR Covid test."
How does this policy make sense when he vaccinated are also able to get and transmit the delta variant? We know this is a fact.
Who will this policy affect next? The congregation? This is a slippery slope, indeed.
We truly hope church leadership reconsiders this decision, and we have reached out to the lead pastor in an effort to have a conversation regarding the policy and why we think it is wrong.
If this is happening in Tyler, we have no doubt this policy is being implemented at other churches in the state.
*Important Update! Pastor David O. D**e has clarified the policy and said that unvaccinated employees will not have to undergo weekly PCR testing. He said he used the words "may be" not "must be", and again, weekly Covid PCR testing will not be required. We are so glad to hear that, and we appreciate Pastor D**e's public clarification.
