Besides all the devils and demons showing up for Halloween, we're hearing the word EVIL showing up in news reports and talking heads.

Our politics have been woven into a holy war with terms like ANTICHRIST and SATAN and the END TIMES.

This isn't humanity's first brush with the DEVIL and ARMAGEDON. Mankind has been on this precipice before.

Is there a Satan behind this? Does evil exist like an entity? Or is it more like a virus of hate or a harbinger of doom? Let's peer into the darkness and see what we believe...

Church of the Moment is largely irreligious. We explore all kinds of texts and rituals from all spiritual communities in the world. For example, we will celebrate Dia de los Mu***os along with All Souls and Halloween on the last Sunday of October.

I picked up a deck of tarot cards based on word spells from the magickal writer Lucy Cavendish, in whose books I've found ritual and sacred words of manifesting. I found myself asking what the difference is between prayer and spells. As I read the spells in the deck they seemed much like prayer.

I'll share some of these and also some reflections on prayer and spells, hoping we can hear from you how you see or use the two forms of manifestation, of seeking help or favor or forgiveness.

Yeah, I guess it's a little weird, but that's never stopped us...
