Our Story
At Bell Flowers, we focus as much on building long-lasting relationships as we do on creating magnificent designs. We are privileged to be a part of many of our clients’ families through many generations, creating interesting designs for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. Every day brings new opportunities for us to pursue our dedication to excellence.
We are also fortunate to have such close ties with our vendors and visit them on a regular basis, whether it's our flower and plant growers based throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, our family farm on the eastern shore of Maryland, wholesale importers, or the creators of our gourmet gift baskets. They share, not only in our passion for quality but our dedication to customer service. Almost all of these businesses are family-owned and operated, and like Bell Flowers, have been run by several generations. We value these relationships and are continually searching for new and exciting ways to keep our products and services fresh and innovative, at the leading edge of the floral industry.

Poinsettias are the most popular plant during the holiday season, celebrated especially for its red and white leaves - that’s right, they’re not actually flowers!

At the 2021 Awards & Installation Event, held at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center, GSSCC honored some of the individuals who helped to get the business community through the unique challenges of the past year, whether by working to make it possible for members to stay in business; by risking their own personal welfare to keep our businesses and our community safe; or by demonstrating a special kind of ingenuity, resilience, transformation, and commitment to the entire community.
The Chamber honored the following:
- Judy Stephenson, Montgomery County Small Business Navigator, for her extraordinary service and support to the business community of Silver Spring and Montgomery County, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021.
- Ray Barry, AFI Theatre & Cultural Center, for his years of support and leadership to the Chamber, especially in the areas of government affairs and economic development.
- PO3 Carlos Cortes Vazquez, Montgomery County Police 3rd District, as the Officer of the Year 2019 for his distinguished service to the Silver Spring community.
_ Corporal Joseph Dodson, Montgomery County Police 3rd District, as the Officer of the Year 2020 for his distinguished service to the Silver Spring Community.
- All Set Restaurant & Bar and Money Muscle BBQ as the newest inductees into the Circle of Stars, for their remarkable resilience, sustainability, and/or transformation during the past year.
_ The Montgomery County Council for the programs it implemented to help businesses in Silver Spring and Montgomery County survive the pandemic.
This was the Chamber's first large in-person event since the pandemic began last year. Almost 100 members and guests joined the festivities and enjoyed a pre-event reception catered by Corcoran Caterers. GSSCC thanks the AFI Theatre & Cultural Center for hosting the event, Bill Kominers and Lerch, Early & Brewer, Chtd. - Attorneys at Law for sponsoring the awards that were presented, Bell Flowers for adding a special touch to the evening with lovely flower arrangements and plants, and Nothing Bundt Cakes for donating bundtlets for each guest to take home.
We kicked off last week with a beautiful and intimate celebration on the rooftop of The Line Hotel in DC. It began as a windy morning but love prevailed... as always! 🥰
Monday’s set up featured a special streaming station for the couple to receive their well-wishes following the ceremony. Family and friends from all over the world (even as far as Dubai) joined us via livestream to witness the ceremony.
A special thanks to all the vendors that came together to make this couples’ day special.

With not being able to visit with friends and family this holiday season due to the pandemic, we decided to send Poinsettias to brighten spirits. From Florida to Alabama to local delivery, Bell Flowers came through and everyone says that the plants are the most beautiful. Thank you for helping us bring a little brightness to this holiday season.
We are having a CRAZY weekend! We had a long day assisting another photographer around Maryland yesterday and today we are photographing a micro wedding at the couple's home here in Nova. Ready for a relaxing Sunday evening once it's finished!
