Help Us Celebrate Our Good Student Club Kids!
Our Good Student Club party is just three weeks away—and we’re still in need of supplies to make it extra special! This year’s celebration will be a “camping under the stars” themed party, and we want to create a magical experience for the kids who’ve worked so hard all year.

If you have any items to contribute, we would be so grateful! Donations can be dropped off at the SMSS office during regular hours or left in the tubs on the porch.

Your generosity helps us show these kids that their efforts matter—and that their community is cheering them on. Let’s make this a celebration to remember!

Still Seeking: Gently Used White Electric Stove
A few weeks ago, we shared a request for a gently used white electric stove for one of our clients—and the need is still open. If you have a working stove that fits this description and are willing to donate, please contact our office and speak with a staff member.

We have a senior client in urgent need of a washer and dryer. Her current set, which has served her faithfully for 35 years, has finally stopped working. Without access to laundry facilities, she faces significant challenges, as regular trips to the laundromat are both expensive and put unnecessary wear and tear on her vehicle—especially with the frequent trips up and down the mountain.

If anyone in the community has a working washer or dryer they are willing to donate, it would make a tremendous difference in her life. Even if only a washing machine is available, a drying rack could help bridge the gap until we can secure a dryer.

This is a practical and much-needed way to support a senior neighbor. If you have any leads or would like to help, please reach out and speak to one of our social workers. Your kindness and generosity will truly make a difference! 423-886-5982

Meet Kent. He finds great bargains on grocery items for us and brings them into our food pantry at least once a month. Thanks for taking care of our neighbors, Kent! Imagine a world where everyone acted like Kent. What a wonderful world that would be!!

The Good Student Club is our way of celebrating and encouraging the amazing efforts of our clients’ children in school.

Throughout the year, we send them letters of encouragement and special incentives to keep their spirits high. At the end of the school year, we throw a joyful celebration to honor their hard work! Our office is decorated just for them, and they get to choose a gift, receive certificates and books, enjoy a goodie bag, and even pick a summer activity to participate in.

This year’s end-of-school party will be camping-themed! If you’d like to spread some extra joy by donating decorations or individually wrapped treats, we would love to have your support. Drop them off at our office — let’s make this celebration unforgettable!
