We have a senior client in urgent need of a washer and dryer. Her current set, which has served her faithfully for 35 years, has finally stopped working. Without access to laundry facilities, she faces significant challenges, as regular trips to the laundromat are both expensive and put unnecessary wear and tear on her vehicle—especially with the frequent trips up and down the mountain.

If anyone in the community has a working washer or dryer they are willing to donate, it would make a tremendous difference in her life. Even if only a washing machine is available, a drying rack could help bridge the gap until we can secure a dryer.

This is a practical and much-needed way to support a senior neighbor. If you have any leads or would like to help, please reach out and speak to one of our social workers. Your kindness and generosity will truly make a difference! 423-886-5982

Meet Kent. He finds great bargains on grocery items for us and brings them into our food pantry at least once a month. Thanks for taking care of our neighbors, Kent! Imagine a world where everyone acted like Kent. What a wonderful world that would be!!

The Good Student Club is our way of celebrating and encouraging the amazing efforts of our clients’ children in school.

Throughout the year, we send them letters of encouragement and special incentives to keep their spirits high. At the end of the school year, we throw a joyful celebration to honor their hard work! Our office is decorated just for them, and they get to choose a gift, receive certificates and books, enjoy a goodie bag, and even pick a summer activity to participate in.

This year’s end-of-school party will be camping-themed! If you’d like to spread some extra joy by donating decorations or individually wrapped treats, we would love to have your support. Drop them off at our office — let’s make this celebration unforgettable!

SMSS has a client in need of household essentials after losing many of the items that made her house a home. We’re reaching out for specific donations that would help her rebuild her living space. If you or someone you know has any of the following gently used items available, please consider helping:

• Dining room table and four chairs
• Coffee table
• Dresser
• Bathroom vanity
• Couch and loveseat

Imagine moving to a new home with nothing but hope and courage. That’s the reality for a single mom and her three daughters who recently relocated to the mountain. They’ve started fresh, but they need our support to truly make this place their own. We’re calling on our community to come together and help them create a warm and welcoming space.

We’re in need of the following items:
- King mattress only
- Twin bedframe only
- Kitchen table with four chairs
- Couch

Additionally, the two teenage girls are hoping to decorate their bedroom with a theme that reflects their love for plants and twinkle lights.

To make their new home complete, we are seeking gently used items: a twin mattress and box spring, a cozy couch, a microwave, and a small kitchen table with three chairs. Together, we can help create a warm and welcoming environment for this family to thrive.
