We have heard mayoral candidates say that one of the biggest issues holding our city back is our citizens lack of pride in Shreveport.
Should we take it that they are saying it is your fault that we have a crime problem, that we have bad roads, and that we have less jobs?
I am a firm believer that if we had crime under control, better roads, and better jobs our citizens would then be proud.
We have heard other mayoral candidates say that it doesn't matter if you have 500 police officers patrolling, you can't prevent crime. They have said that you can't legislate matters of the heart. That violent crime is relational. Are they telling us that they can't do anything to fix our homicide problem?
They have even said that crime is down!
I don't know about you, but it would sound like they believe a mayor cannot address the crime issue.
Lee O. Savage has been boldly addressing the issues facing our city, while some other candidates have not or skirt the issue entirely.
So let me ask for your opinion.
Do you want a mayor who is constantly making crime, jobs, and roads a campaign issue?
Do you want a mayor who will replace the police chief on day one?
Do you want a mayor who will get rid of the mismanagement and corruption that has been holding our city back for years?
Do you want a mayor who will investigate the corruption that has taken place in our city and turn it in to the appropriate agencies?
Do you want a mayor who will bring common sense solutions to family venues, such as Fair Grounds Field, that don't cost the tax payers any more money than it already has?
Then Lee O. Savage is your candidate for Mayor!
Lee O. Savage has been talking about his plan for crime, roads, and jobs for a while now. He will replace the police chief on day one. He has already found issues of corruption in this city and brought them to your attention. He has been able to bring more attention to the water billing issues that have faced our citizens. He has been talking about Fair Grounds Field for months now.
Once he is elected Mayor, he will fix these problems and anything else plaguing our city while in office.
Vote for the person who will bring justice to the City of Shreveport: #62 on your ballot, Lee O. Savage.
