3 days late celebrating “International Hummus Day”, but nonetheless excited to do so.
Below are two of our favorite, and most requested versions, Green Pea Hummus and Sweet Potato Hummus.
Great for Summer Gatherings.

Mint Juleps, I love them.
I don’t muddle, but rather steep the mint in freshly made simple syrup. I also usually have it in my Julep cup, but they are inaccessible at the moment.
A silver cup seems to keep it colder, and that has been verified -
“Silver is a good conductor of heat, which helps the drink quickly cool down when ice is added. The silver cup also helps to maintain the chilled temperature of the drink for a longer period,” says Food Republic.
Plus, it is classic and elegant.

I also don’t have crushed ice. But don’t let that keep you/us from appreciating a well-crafted Mint Julep. If you don’t have a Julep cup or muddler or crushed ice, here’s how to enjoy it:

2 cups Water
2 cups granulated Sugar
10-12 Mint stems (washed and drained on paper towels)
Bourbon.

Add Water and Sugar to a pot, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Turn off heat.
Add Mint stems and stir around until submerged in the syrup.
Let cool.
Drain syrup into a container that can be sealed and kept in your refrigerator.
Once syrup has cooled, add crushed ice to your Julep cup or any 12-oz cup.
Add 2.5 oz Bourbon
Add Mint Julep syrup to fill, gently stir, add Mint garnish, and enjoy💚.

Keep the rest of the Mint Julep Syrup in a sealed container in your refrigerator for future use.
