Father Francis Tiso
We are honored to welcome Father Francis Tiso, scholar-priest and expert in Christian-Buddhist studies, to the 2025 Serenity Ridge Dialogues. He holds degrees from Cornell, Harvard, and Columbia/Union Theological Seminary, specializing in Buddhist studies, and has translated early biographies of the Tibetan yogi Milarepa. His work spans Christian theology, interreligious dialogue, and ecumenism.
Father Tiso served as Associate Director of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs for the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, liaising with Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Reformed churches. He currently serves as chaplain to migrant communities in Italy and is the author of Liberation in One Lifetime (2014) and Rainbow Body and Resurrection (2016).
