I know it's not the color of the year -

But I don't care.

While it's definitely important to keep up with trends in this business, I've never been a trend follower and I'll always have my favorites. Among those favorites is a soft lavender color palate for a hued take on the classic white wedding. Lavender vibes with mauve and blush in this simple yet beautiful petite bouquet and table dressings for the guest table and the couples table.

What do you think - lavender, aye or nay? We've got a modern fairytale romance lavender wedding just recently signed on our books this November at so if you're a lavender fan, stay tuned for a less classic, more artful interpretation of this lovely hue.

Windward is excited to be joining some fantastic gardens for this excellent cause. We will have the new studio open for touring and will be featuring the progress we've made in our front formal garden. The past few weeks have been an incredible dream - I feel like we booked this trip years ago, that I was gone forever, and now that I'm home I can't believe it's all over already. To be able to spend a few days in France working with beautiful blooms with friends old and new was such a treasured gift, and it filled by cup in more ways than one. I'm feeling inspired, refreshed, and refocused on what Windward Blooms is all about - community, intentionality, and really lovely floral design.

June and the early wedding season is fast approaching and will keep us busy for a few weeks, but come July, I have some fresh new workshops that I'll be posting so that I can share some of this magic with all of you! We'll start with a plaster casting floral mold that I learned in France, and then we'll dig into something more floral design and photography focused for my flower lovers. Last but not least, with all of this lovely rain, we'll be bringing back Blooms & Bubbly featuring lots of Windward grown beauty.

That's a WRAP on Windward Blooms' third mother's day and can I just say how absolutely grateful I am?

🦄 Grateful for our amazing team of hard working and LOVING Windward Blooms crew. We had Carol and Julia delivering Saturday, Julia delivering and running backup at HQ throughout the week, and Sherry and family delivering today. With each year under our belts we're getting more efficient and able to serve more of our amazing community, and your orders are helping to support some amazing people!

🌷Grateful for our amazing customers. We see the repeat names come through holiday after holiday - we know who you are - and that trust and repeat business is the biggest complement we can get! If we're new to you this year, thanks for choosing us and I hope you loved your experience!

💏 Grateful to my family for supporting this Windward Blooms journey; with the transition to full time Windward Blooms we've had a lot more quality time together and it has been such an incredible change.

It's mother's day week and you know what to do - Treat her!!!! Take her to dinner, watch that movie, get her some flowers; the sky's the limit, go hog wild. We'll
be doing our flower dance all week long at Windward Blooms with a HARD CUTOFF of orders this Friday May 8th close of business! After that this mom will be focusing on making beauty for all you lovely women out there, then signing off for some much needed mom appreciation time over here at the farm.

Another magical evening at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts - this year I was chosen to represent the painting "Three Fishwives". I opted for a petite representation using a trio of bud vases filled with sand, bronze leaf fennel to reflect the waves, dried amaranth for surf, and ladies made of lily of the valley with okra pod skirts and silk sari scarves. We wrapped up the evening with a stroll around the pond and a visit with the beautiful residents of the Hagerstown park. If your free this weekend, the event goes all weekend and it's free to the public!

It's not all work and no play around here - we're doing the thang but carving out time for some much needed laughs and creative exploration. Today we worked with wire and starting toying with those super popular light and airy corsages - as you probably know, .jeanne._art is an incredible wire artist so we whipped these out pretty quickly.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you love....
