Still smiling after an unforgettable night celebrating the Winkels! 🥂✨

This day was a long time coming—and it was so worth the wait. Morgan & Brandon officially kicked off their marriage, and I was honored to help bring the party to life! 💍🎉

Brandon told me that he gave Morgan a heads shortly after they got engaged that he already knew who he wanted to DJ their wedding. That kind of trust? Means everything. 🙏

Even with the heat and humidity turning it into a real summer sauna, the vibes stayed high. They brought the energy and I was here for it! 🔥💃🕺

Oh, and can we talk about that donut truck!? 🍩🙌 Easily one of the top-tier wedding treats I’ve ever had. Delicious and unforgettable.

Bittersweet moment: after DJing Lexi (Brandon‘s sister) & Dalton’s wedding last year, this was my final Winkel wedding with Rod & Tracy’s crew. Pretty sure Rod won’t miss giving speeches though… 😏🎤

Saw 9 couples I’ve celebrated with before and 2 more who are currently planning weddings with me. What an incredible reminder of the privilege it is to be invited into these moments.

Throwback Thursday in full effect 😳🥹

The skills have improved. The network has grown. The gear has changed. So has my hair…😅

❤️But what’s NEVER changed is my LOVE of music and what it means to me.❤️

I loved music long before I loved being a DJ. I think that’s what keeps me going.

I don’t “get tired of playing the same songs” because I love seeing what the right song does at the right time. I live for the feeling of connection that music brings to a dance floor.

⭐️Also because I’m always looking for new and creative ways to play songs and improve my craft. That helps too. 😏

Life is about moments and memories. And there’s nothing better than using music to create both most of my weekends. I’m so grateful to be able to use my love of music as an extension of myself to help people celebrate milestones, throw down at senior prom, or play the soundtrack for someone’s night out on the town with their friends. 🫶

Here’s to another years from now! See you on the dance floor. 🎧

💙 A Moment I’ll Never Forget 💙
(Yes, it’s a long post—but it’s worth it.)

As a wedding DJ, I’ve been part of hundreds of incredible celebrations. The dance floors, the energy, the joy—it’s all part of why I love what I do. But every once in a while, a moment hits deeper… and reminds me why these days truly matter.

This photo is from Chrissy & Isaiah Schmid’s wedding earlier this month. It captures Isaiah dancing with his mom, Dana—a moment that carried more weight than most.

Just weeks before the wedding, Dana was hospitalized with life-threatening complications. There were real fears she might not make it to the big day. But by what I can only call a miracle, she recovered enough to be there.

We moved the dance up in the timeline so she could rest afterward. I even talked with Isaiah about shortening the song if needed. But not only did Dana make it—she danced the entire 4.5-minute song with her son. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. 💔➡️💙🥹

As a dad of three boys, moments like this hit home. I often imagine my wife dancing with our sons on their wedding days. And on this night, I saw the power of love, resilience, and family unfold right in front of me.

Yes, these events are parties—but they’re also sacred. They mark the start of something real. Life isn’t always easy, but it’s beautiful. And it’s an honor to play a small part in moments like these.

Life is short. Life is precious.

Had an amazing night with Mikayla, Bryant, and their crew. Incredible food, fun games, and a feeling of joy that was palpable ALL night.
