Attention, Potholers! THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY we will be showing SUMMER OF SOUL (OR, WHEN THE REVOLUTION COULD NOT BE TELEVISED)

A documentary about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, SUMMER OF SOUL has received particular praise for the restoration of the footage - including performances by Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight & the Pips and many more. Premiering at Sundance in 2021, this film won both the Grand Jury prize and the Audience Award in the documentary categories and at the Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards, it won in all 6 categories it was nominated. Directed by Questlove of The Roots fame. PG-13, 1hr 58.

members of the Rich Earth Institute will be joining us Friday night for a brief presentation on their work prior to the documentary Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong. They are doing great work and it is especially relevant to our featured film which centers on wastewater treatment.

join the fun on June 27th for the first annual Follow the Trolley Day! there will be lots to do in the village - including a guided bus tour of the original trolley line - and we will cap it off in true Pothole Pictures fashion with an evening showing of Speedy (1928) at the Shelburne Falls Theater! 🚋
