Color really does set the tone for any event. Think about this - you walk into an event and everyone is wearing black. You know you’ve either just walked into a fancy soirée or a funeral. But you also know that this is a serious event - there most likely won’t be a balloon lady and a juggler.

When you walk into a brightly colored event you feel like you’re ready to celebrate! Pops of yellow, orange, blue, and pink say “we’re here for a good time!”

And when you walk into a room full of rich jewel tones, you can almost feel the elegant moodiness in the air.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the season thanking and congratulating couples, which will never stop.

But today, I spent my morning with 7 people who deserve a public show of gratitude.

I listened to them tell stories of weddings they had each done, some together, some on their own. I heard laughter and joy coming from people who may have never met had it not been for Truly Yours Weddings.

But - and this is important - Truly Yours Weddings would not be thriving today without these people. Some have stepped in as a favor and stayed on. Some have been with me for years. Some may have even joined out of obligation and realized they loved being part of someone’s wedding day anyway.

But as I watched these people reminisce and get to know each other more, I couldn’t help but think that I am just so damn grateful for each and every one of them.

Aaron, Stacey, Chuck, Merissa, Tabitha, Claire, and Desiree…thank you for being part of the team and bringing all your unique talents and strengths to Truly Yours Weddings.

(And also thank you for showing up this morning for pics. Sorry about your muddy feet. 😘)

A gorgeous autumn wedding that includes a Ring Security Officer who took his job very seriously AND the dads as the witnesses to sign the marriage license?

Yes please!

However, sometimes life happens to wedding vendors too, and this couple found themselves on the hunt for an officiant for the second time just a few months before their date. Chuck was able to step in and deliver a beautiful ceremony. We couldn’t be more grateful for their trust in that high stress situation!

On their 3,650th day together, this couple celebrated the life they've already created together. (That's exactly ten years for the less mathematically inclined.)

The one that had a whole metric ton of things that paved the path for them to even be together.

The one where they have spent those 3,650 days loving every version of each other as they grow into the next version.

The one where they can be in a room with 100 other people and still have an entire conversation with just their eyes.

Happy 10th Anniversary, and Congratulations on Day One of being married, Samantha and Peter!! 🤍🤍

A few weeks ago I was invited to go see the newly renovated space. If you’re looking for an event venue in Ozaukee county that’s affordable, consider the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center. It’s versatile, the details were well thought out, and it’s really a steal for what’s included!

This one will go in the memory bank for sure, not only for the couple and their guests, but for us as well!

If you haven’t been to a wedding at Schlitz Audubon Venue, you’re missing out. Located in Bayside (just a micro hair north of Milwaukee), one would not expect a nature reserve this beautiful. From the gorgeous nature trails to the Meet and Greet with the raptors, you’ll forget that just a few miles away you’re in downtown Milwaukee.

Megan and Eric took advantage of our decor rentals after they booked Desiree as their day-of coordinator, and that double diamond arbor was looking GORGEOUS, wouldn’t you agree? It did diminish its presence once Megan and Eric were standing in front of it though. 😊
