When I look back at videos and pictures of the flowers from last summer, I get that little twang in my heart of missing something so deeply. I miss the flowers. We're almost there.

If you want to grow flowers, this summer, click on my link in the bio. There are two dog and cat friendly gardens in a box left. They are full of colorful zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, gomphrena, strawflower, and snapdragons.

It's that time of year again! Come to Nourish's annual Good Food Fair to celebrate all things local! Meet some pretty rad members of our community, shop for Mother's Day (or treat yourself), support small businesses, get some good food and check out the property. There are always fun activities, too! It's a great family event, so bring the kiddos!

I'll have veggies, herbs and bedding flowers available. πŸ₯¦πŸ…πŸŒΏπŸ΅

If you would like to pre-order veggies, herbs and bedding plants, order here! There are limited amounts of each variety as I wasn't expecting as much interest as I've gotten. Next year I'll plan to have more!

Orders are due this Thursday, May 7th.

Pickup is May Friday 22nd & Saturday May 23rd at 417 Clifton Avenue.

You can see me in person Saturday at Nourish's Good Food Fair from 9-2! (100 Alfred Miley Ave, Sheboygan Falls). Keep in mind, the majority of veggies and flowers don't love the cold, so if you want me to keep them growing for you, pre-order by Thursday.

Welp! It's that time of year...Gardens in a Box are live on the website! πŸ’πŸŒΈπŸ΅πŸŒ±πŸŒΌ What is a Garden in a Box, you ask? It's summer beauty in a box. You'll get a curated box of plants that you can grow into your very own cutting garden of fresh flowers. Harvest yourself beautiful bouquets throughout the summer to enjoy in your home or share with friends and neighbors. (I give you all the growing and harvesting info, too!)

This year there are very limited amounts of each box. Orders will be open until Wednesday May 6th. Snag one for your mama while you're at it. She'll thank you this summer as she creates her own bouquets from her very own cutting garden.

Pickup will be May 22nd & 23rd at 417 Clifton Avenue, Sheboygan.

(Just a heads up for those who have gotten it in the past, there will be no eucalyptus this year. Instead, I'll be including dahlia tubers!)

Getting seeds started makes me feel soooo good. I feel such excitement for what this season will bring. In a few short months, it'll be warm and we'll be planting. (Well, I'll be getting my cool crops in earlier than that, BUT, the majority will come in the warmth). Gardening is a long game. If you try something one year and it's not successful you have to wait months and months until you can try it again. Every season is different and you never know what the weather will bring. Each year brings new lessons and experiences and I am here for it.

If want to dip your toes into growing, join me next Thursday, April 2nd for a class on growing from 6:30-8:30 pm ! 🌱 You will learn all you need to know to grow your own veggies and flowers and you'll be sent home with flowers YOU will start in class! πŸ™Œ Link in bio.

Today's gloomy weather has got me dreaming of flowers. Even on a day like today, I can feel the shift in the season. The sun feels warmer when it's shining. The smell of the ground is permeating the air. I wake up to the sound of birds again.

If you, like me, want a vibrant flower garden that you started from seed, join me at The Sheboygan Collective on April 2 6:30 - 8:30 PM for a class on the art of growing. During this workshop, I will teach you the basics of growing, including step-by-step guidance and watering, lighting and creating optimal growing conditions. You'll start your own seedlings, using high-quality soil, trays and pots, including a few special Floret original varieties. There will also be an optional follow up Zoom session where we can talk about transplanting and troubleshooting common issues. With this course, you'll have the skills you need to grow some beautiful blooms this summer!

Winter blues got you seed shopping on social media? Don't. I get it, pretty flowers can pull you in with their good looks. πŸ‘€ πŸ’ A few things to remember...

πŸ’™ Don't buy off social media. Stick to quality retailers like Johnny's, Ivy Garth, Harris, Burpee, Botanical Interests, Seed Savers, Jung, etc. Johnny's is my favorite. (Not a fan of Eden Brothers for many reasons)
πŸ’™ If it looks too good to be true, it is.
πŸ’™ Check the company name and see if they have a web presence, contact info, location, etc.
πŸ’™ Huge sale prices are a 🚩Any retailer that's worth their salt will charge normal pricing because they couldn't make it as a business otherwise.
