Overview:

Additionally, our full catering service delivers quality food to various events, from weddings to corporate gatherings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee all Banquet Events, acting MOD and client contact when Event Manager is out.
- Set-up and breakdown all functions rooms.
- Ensure that a high level of sanitation and cleanliness is maintained before, during and after each shift.
- Conduct pre-function meeting with Servers/staff and review all information pertinent to set- up and service of function.
- Review any changes on Banquet Event Order’s (BEO) including, guarantees, times, set-up requirements, checking with event manager for any last-minute opportunities. Check function room for cleanliness, burnt light bulbs, proper door signage and making sure it is damage free.
- Maintain constant contact with Banquet Chef to ensure complete, effective communication between food production and food service.
- Inspects table place settings, including table linen, silverware, china, glass and condiments for correct placement by servers and to ensure that each element is clean, undamaged and attractive.
- Responsible for proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables used for catering functions.
Supervises clearing and post function clean up. Checks servers out, making sure that function rooms, back hall and storage areas are neat/clean, and equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
- Ensure that unused food is returned to the kitchen, that designated condiments are broken down and properly stored (butters, cream, dressings, etc) and all banquet supplies are returned to designated storage areas.
- Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out.
- Provide feedback on staff performance to manager and report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees.
- Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.
- Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with Event Manager.
- Anticipate customers’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all customers, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Monitor and handle customer complaints by following the instant pacification procedures and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor / Banquet Manager immediately.
- When acting MOD, prepares banquet check, double-checking for accuracy and making any additions needed and has host sign it. Distributes all necessary paperwork at end of shift.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TIME REQUIREMENTS:
Lead Banquet Server position is Part-time, however other opportunities are available within the company to offer Full-Time for the right applicant. Compensation for Lead Banquet Position starts at$20 Per Hour, with reviews after 90 days to increase wage. Insurance available for Full Time Employees Only.
Expected to work most Banquet Functions throughout the year. This includes Mornings, Afternoons, Nights, and Weekends. Shifts will vary based on the event.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, culinary practices, and customer service principles.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
** Please note this job is physical and requires you to be on your feet most of your shift. Can require moving Kegs, Cases of Wine/Beer. Moving/Setting up Tables/Chairs ext.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
