Friends,
we’re going to be honest with you. The last two weeks have been much slower than usual, and as a small family-owned restaurant, weeks like these matter. Every table filled, every meal served, and every customer who walks through our doors helps us continue building the restaurant we’ve dreamed of bringing to Cedar Creek Lake. If you’ve been meaning to come try Heidi Lou’s Mexique, this week would be a great time. If you’ve already visited and enjoyed your experience, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d bring a friend, tell a neighbor, or share this post. We’re committed to serving great food, providing excellent service, and being a positive part of this community for years to come. But the truth is, local businesses survive because of local people. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to take the upstairs space at the restaurant in a different direction. 👏🏼👏🏼

Originally, I was considering turning it into a consignment shop, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that what I really wanted was to create a space that could bring people together in meaningful ways.

So instead, we’re transforming the upstairs into a private, reservation-only event space. 🎉

The goal is to make it flexible enough to fit a variety of occasions. Need a professional setting for a business meeting, city council discussion, community organization gathering, or team meeting? We can arrange the room with a long conference-style table and seating to accommodate your group.

Looking for something more personal? We can also create an intimate setting with a single table, candlelight, and a romantic atmosphere that’s perfect for a first date, anniversary, or even a proposal. 💍 🕯️

Whether you’re closing a business deal, planning an important meeting, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a private place to connect with others, we’d love to help make it happen. 🧳 📝

We’re still putting the finishing touches on the space, so it likely won’t be available for reservations until mid-June. As we get closer, I’ll be sharing photos, details, and information on how to book.

Today we want to support a local Fishing Guide, Pete Evans. We have went out with him a couple times and every time he hasn’t let us down. He’s very attentive to the customer, loves to teach kids about fishing and knows the lake and where to catch them. So if your looking for an affordable fishing Guide and a great time, drop Pete a message.
