It is popular nowadays to hate on line dances. So much so that my contract to clients actually says "Line dances will not be played unless requested."

Here is the thing though... Line Dances are like a cheat code when played at the right time. Is the dance floor emptying for some reason? Are there a lot of people nearby? Are certain people shy about being exposed on the dance floor?

A line dance cures some of those issues! You can't be exposed on a dance floor where everyone is doing the same move! Then, once everyone is comfortable, it often can lead to everyone feeling more comfortable to say out there for the next dance.

Are you considering a private last dance? There is a way to do it right!

Get everyone out of the venue somehow... Busses leave at 11pm sharp, sparkler send off, ice cream sundae bar outside...whatever it takes.

Make sure you soak up that moment. Maybe your videographer/photographer is still there.

OR...

Maybe you have an awesome DJ with a 360 camera ready to catch every moment to help you preserve the memory!

When a wedding is small, there is small margin for error. And while I can help keep the dance floor a little more full with a different set of songs, I NEVER go against my clients wishes. This couple wanted a mostly EDM playlist, and I knew that once sunset photos started we were gonna lose most of the crowd. It stings when it's 100% of the crowd, but at the end of the day, the bridal party was happy, the bride and groom were happy, so I did my job.

When a guest steals my equipment, it usually means one of a few things:
1. They think they're being funny.
2. They're actually stealing something.
3. They're drunk.
4. Sometimes all of the above!

But sometimes, they're just using my equipment (please ask first!) for a useful purpose. In this case, the guests decided they wanted to do a game of Limbo. OK! I'm game!

Sometimes, even I get surprised! The night was over, with 5 minutes left, and the crowd got a second wind! I got excited, and totally forgot to announce the busses to leave! Luckily, they were still there!
